The flasher system may be triggered by ecl pulses from the flight simulator, FS. Each FS has two 16 channel output connectors. . The flight simulator has 2 (top, bottom) male 34 pin connections oriented as shown below The numbering scheme at present for the FS is the top output has sequential outputs starting at 0 and proceeding as you go down to 15. The bottom connector continues this scheme ranging from 16-31. The top two pins on each of these outputs are gnd. The nominal pin 1 is on the bottom of each connector. The ecl conventions are True or high is 09. Volts and False or low is about 1.8 V. Triggers will be transmitted on twisted pair with the Q, Qbar on each twisted pair. The critical point is that the ECL Q signal needs to arrive on the cable on the odd number pins. JMU labels the signal Q Qbar that arrive on pin 1&2 as signal 1.
