FS

The VME electronics that generates triggers. It is controlled via the MIDAS DAQ.

Pulser Boards

Boards mounted in the detector. Each board has a pmt that flashes in response to triggers. (One board per pmt)

Controller

Boards

Boards on the front of the driver boxes. Each board controls two pulser boards by providing the triggers and voltages via 10 pin ribbon cable. (Also referred to as the Front Panel boards.)

Front Panel Boards

ecl-TTL

translator

boards

Boards that receive the ecl triggers and translate them to TTL. Each board has 16 independent ecl inputs through a 34 pin connector. A second 34 pin connector can pass or daisy chain the input to another translator.

houses

The detector is segmented like a soccer ball so that detector pairs are assembled as a unit in either fivefold or sixfold containers. Penthouses and Hex houses.

Penthouse

Containers that hold five triangular detector pairs (10 total)

Hexhaus

Containers that hold six triangular detector pairs (20 total)

B+

Voltage that adjusts the LED brightness. It is adjustable via a pot on the Controller boards and measurable via a test point next to the pot.

Driver Box

Box that contains 2 ecl TTL/ 16 controller boards= 32 independent pulser channels
