OUTREACH: Promoting Science and Educating the Next Generation

The James Madison University Physics department is committed to promoting science. In our highly technical world a better understanding of science helps society make wise decisions. There is widespread concern that economic viability will require talented technically knowledgeable people. There is an excitement about science that JMU faculty are eager to share. Our faculty feels compelled to aid the community by providing educational experience in various formats to different members of the community. Here are some examples of some of our activities:

Fall 2007

• Fall 2007 Robotics for high school students: This year faculty at JMU will be sharing their interests in robotics with HS students in 10,11,12 grade through a 6‑workshop series.
