An
eminent theorist provides perspective and a host of nice links.
As I proceed through the book and review QM ideas, I will post notes. The links to last year’s web notes appear at the bottom of this page. As we cover the material I will try to improve them and post them in the following list. These are works in progress. I will continue to post and update as the semester proceeds. I appreciate any feedback on these items. Specifically I would appreciate corrections and references to other resources that clarify these ideas.
{Note: The material prepared for each lecture is often significantly greater than what is presented. Thus there is often an overlap. Succeeding lectures start at the ending point of the previous lecture with updates added.}
MOST OF THESE LINKS ARE NOT YET COMPLETE. HOWEVER THE NOTES FROM LAST SEMESTER ARE BELOW.

Schedule and notes from 2008----------------------------------
As the semester goes along I will update the various files and notes so these links may reference current as well as old material.
Week 1: Chapter 1&2, particles and waves, interference, two slit experiment
Week 2&3: Chapter 3
Week 4 chapter 4
Week 5 4&5
Preliminary Schedule: The schedule will be updated during the semester to reflect the progress we are making in learning the material.
(2007 )--- parts of the website from 2
There was some discussion of QM throughout the Particle Physics course. A few of the discussions might prove useful and links are shown below. There are many wonderful discussions available on the web and throughout the many textbooks on QM. Students will find it useful to find those discussions that appeal to them. The discussions below are based on the approaches that I find insightful. Some of the discussion is beyond the scope of the course and they are NOT required reading.
